Employees could be worried about criticism or complaints from their employer about their low work performance. In which cases is it possible to be dismissed?
It rarely happens that someone is fired because of their low performance, as it is difficult to determine its cause. In some cases it could be personal reasons, such as physical or mental issues; in other situations, an employee might not be working as efficiently as they are able to and they could be wasting their potential.
Instead of dismissing workers, employers usually opt for a reduction of their salary or a relocation to a new workplace. At the same time, employers also investigate the reasons behind low performances and they might decide to fire an employee whose work conduct is not acceptable.
Even so, by following work protocols and carrying out the due tasks, the risk of being dismissed is minimal.
